ABOUT COREY
Corey Castle is an Appalachian Native, born right here in the oldest mountains in the world. Like these mountains he too longs for serenity and solitude. His designs are a reflection of his search for symbiosis with his environment. Each piece that he creates starts with a journey into the temperate, most diverse hardwood forest to select only superb pieces of timber; specialty hardwoods that are always of the highest quality. He then mills the trees to specification taking only sound pieces that show great character and kiln dries them himself. After bringing the wood to a workable moisture level he begins creating unique pieces - each unlike the one before - each inspired by his journey and surroundings.
